PTP NEXT Business Competition Web Information Session

For Immediate Release, August 26, 2011, Piedmont Triad Region, North Carolina:  PTP NEXT is seeking grant applications from Piedmont Triad Region entrepreneurs and startups for its Fall 2011 PTP NEXT Business Competition. Potential applicants and other interested parties are invited to a PTP NEXT Web Information Session on Wednesday, August  30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. EST. Participants will learn more about eligibility, how to apply and what PTP NEXT is looking for in an application.

The  PTP NEXT Business Competition is accepting applications from startup or existing companies headquartered in the Piedmont Triad region that have innovative products, services, processes and/or technologies. The final application deadline to advance to the semi-final round is September 9, 2011.

PTP NEXT is working in partnership with the Piedmont Triad Partnership (PTP) and NC IDEA, a non-profit founded in 2005 to foster economic development in North Carolina by helping companies commercialize their innovations and ready themselves for next-stage funding.

Additional partners include the Greensboro Partnership Entrepreneurship Initiative, Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, NC A&T, Gateway University Research Park, Wake Forest Babcock Medical Center, Angell Center for Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University, Bell Foundation, DataMax Foundation, Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship, NC Entrepreneurship Center at UNC-G and Piedmont Angel Network.


PTP NEXT, LLC is a region-wide volunteer-driven organization of talented young
leaders who are committed to the Piedmont Triad’s future economic vitality. PTP
NEXT has established the PTP NEXT Business Competition to identify and support
high-potential entrepreneurial companies that are strategically aligned to our
region’s unique assets and to accelerate a collaborative culture of
entrepreneurship, innovation and economic engagement in the Piedmont Triad
region. PTP NEXT operates under the auspices of the Piedmont Triad Partnership.
